4. It has also been clarified by the government that the amount to be paid at the time of registration must be at least Rs 1500.
5. The government has also made a rule that it will be mandatory for the consumer to pay the current electricity bill along with the monthly installments. Under this rule, the government has added another point, according to which if the consumer does not pay the installment of one month and the electricity bill of that month, then he will have to pay two installments and the electricity bill of both the months in the next month.
6. If the consumer does not pay the electricity bill regularly for two months and by whom, then his registration will be canceled and that consumer will be declared as a defaulter.
7. If the consumer pays his outstanding bill by October 31, following all the rules, then the surcharge will be removed from him, but if the registration of the consumer is canceled due to any reason, then his surcharge will not be waived.
8. Any consumer who pays the remaining bill together will get the discount.
