The Gujarat Government during its budget declaration of the financial year 2022-2023 announced Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana in order to provide nutrition to the lactating mothers and pregnant women in the state. The Yojana is announced for giving all the healthy supplements to the beneficiaries monthly at a free cost and to make the lactating mothers and pregnant women healthy during their important period.

Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana will make all pregnant women and lactating mothers healthy in a holistic way. It will give them the benefit of desired nutrients required by their body during their important period of Pregnancy as well as lactation.

Gujarat Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana are as follows:

• The Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana is for the women belonging to the state of Gujarat.
• Women belonging to other states will not recieve the benefits of the Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana.
• The Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana is for the pregnant women and lactating mothers of Gujarat. Women who are not pregnant or lactating mothers will not be able to receive its benefits.

Gujarat Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana Important Features

There are several important features and benefits of Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana. Here are the features of the scheme:

• Under the Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana, the government will take the charge of providing nutrition to the pregnant and lactating mothers in the state
• Under the scheme, all the beneficiaries will get the monthly supplements
• Monthly supplements that would be given to the lactating mothers and pregnant women will be completely free of cost
• Under the Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana, the monthly healthy supplements will include: Tur Dal, Chana and Edible Oil
• The budget decided for Suposhit Mata Swasth Bal Yojana is Rs. 4000 Crores. This budget will be used for the next five years for the beneficiaries
• The state Government also made several important announcements for the WCD(Women and Child Development Department)
• To provide all the helathy supplements and nutrients to pregnant and lactating mothers, Rs. 811 crores will be allocated
• In order to provide pre-education, nutrition and other facilities under the Anganwadi Program, the state government will allocate Rs. 1153 crores
• To let the lactating mothers and adolescent girls take their ration home, Rs. 1059 crores will be provided. This budget will also be provided for the door to door Sukhdi distribution to all the children belonging to the age group of 3-6 years
• For the WCD that is Women and Child Development Department, the state Government of Gujarat has alloted Rupees 4976 Crores

The pregnant women and lactating mothers in the state of Gujarat will recieve healthy supplements monthly. All the supplements will be given in order to provide them with required Fats, Micro nutrients and Protein. Details of the supplements that would be distributed are as follows:
