What is Bihar Seed Grant Scheme

• Farmers of the State of Bihar:- There is a provision to provide the benefit of this scheme only to the farmers of Bihar state.

• Provision for giving total seeds for 5 acres of land: – Under this scheme, the maximum farmer can take advantage of the Bihar Seed Grant Scheme for cultivating 5 acres of land.
• For home delivery of wheat seeds Charge of Rs 2 per kg: Under the scheme, if any farmer brothers and sisters want to get wheat seeds as home delivery at their home, then for this they will have to pay an additional charge of Rs. 2 per kg.
• On home delivery of pulses and oseeds : They will have to pay an additional fee of Rs 5 per kg on home delivery of pulses and oseeds.

Process to apply in Bihar Seed Grant Scheme

• Now after this you have to enter your farmer registration number here and then click on the option called “Search”.
• Now after this, you have to enter the name of the seed you want to sow and the quantity you want to sow here.
• After doing this you will be issued a demand slip and now you have to take out two duplicate copies of your demand slip.
• You have to show the copy of the first demand slip to the farmer advisor and submit it to him and keep the second slip safe with you.
• When the time comes for sowing the seeds, then the farmers are provided their seeds in their nearest block. You have to take the demand slip to your beach and then collect your ordered seeds from there.

So the state government of Bihar will provide farmers of their state with 50% concessions to sow a quality seed, and by this farmers will be able to produce 20 to 25% more in their crop production with quality seed. .
