Recap of Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 Episode 8

Delia, who is outraged after finding that Dirk would soon be adopted by a noble, questions Myne at the Cathedral. The protagonist does not lie to her about the adoption, but instead pretends that she offered the idea to the High Priest, which is clearly false. However, Delia is still upset that her baby brother will soon be living somewhere else.

Even with the High Priest desperately hunting for the ideal candidate for Dirk’s adoption, Myne informs her that the possibilities of him being adopted by a noble are slim. She goes on to say that she understands the anguish of being separated from one’s family and that she will not let Dirk experience the same fate. Delia is overjoyed that she will be able to spend more time with her brother.

Meanwhile, Myne learns that her colleagues have created the repairing agent and meets with her. Heidi’s dedication to the invention of stronger and more colorful ink impresses her, and she agrees to fund her study on the condition that production is not hampered in the process. Something happens at the city’s east entrance when she later travels to the market with Lutz and others. Myne and the others flee to safety.

She subsequently discovers that a noble who was not permitted access tries to cause excessive commotion. The laws, however, are now crystal clear: no one may enter the gate without the Lord’s consent. Fortunately, the knights were quick to react and were able to bring the situation under control before it worsened.

The High Bishop is plainly irritated that people at the Cathedral have been keeping things hidden, and he even injures one of his servants in his rage. Meanwhile, Myne makes it back to the Cathedral after five days of waiting in her residence. However, upon her arrival, she receives some very disturbing news.

Does Dirk Get Adopted in Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 Episode 8? Why is Delia suddenly OK with her decision?

Delia speaks with the High Bishop to express the difficulty that has been worrying her for some time, realizing that she may lose her younger brother. Because the High Bishop recognizes the young boy’s value, he tells his informant that she can entrust him with her brother. Although the Lord’s consent is normally requested in cases of adoption, this regulation does not apply when the adoption is carried out by a noble from another territory. That’s what happened to Dirk, who found a new family.

Delia, who has been apprehensive about the adoption up to this point, seems surprisingly calm. It piques Myne’s interest, and she ends up asking Delia for clarification. The attendant adds that the High Bishop has told her that Dirk would remain with him until he reaches the age of majority. So she may pay him regular visits in the Bishop’s special room, which absorbs the extra mana that makes Dirk sick. Myne patiently listens to Delia, but it is clear that she sees flaws in the entire story and begins to distrust her attendant’s prior passionate outbursts concerning Dirk’s adoption.

How Did Myne Get Kidnapped?

The adversaries have been attempting to capture Myne for quite some time, and it is no secret that Head Priest has left no stone unturned in order to keep her safe. Myne, on the other hand, is visited the day after learning of Dirk’s adoption by Lutz and others who are eager to take her back home. The voyage appears to be relatively secure with the Knights escorting them, but things alter dramatically along the road.

They encounter Mr. Otto, who informs them about the noble from the day before, who managed to get through the gates today and is now missing. While the Knight and Myne and her pals are looking elsewhere, the protagonist gets kidnapped from behind and begins to flee. They are quickly pursued by Myne’s friends and the Knights with her.
