Carol soon arrives in England, where the studio has reserved a luxurious hotel for the actors and crew to stay and work. Carol, Dustin, and the others get concerned about Dieter and attempt to rouse him. Gunther, the group’s health and security inspector, is convinced that Dieter is no longer alive.

Dieter is subjected to a variety of treatments, all of which fail. Anika, Dieter’s love interest, however, administers a dose of medicine that awakens Dieter from his coma. Carol is inspired to embrace her situation as a result of the encounter. She encourages the cast to treat each other as though they were family. Carol feels that if they all work together, they would be able to escape the dreadful project and return home. Dieter’s near-death experience galvanizes the group and forces them to consider what is essential in their lives outside of the film.
