When the titular couple of ‘Pam & Tommy’ realize that their private honeymoon recording has been stolen in Episode 4, the bag of worms fully opens. The extent to which the video has spread becomes disturbingly evident as the episode unfolds, and Rand swiftly begins to experience the serious (and violent) consequences of his actions. To make matters worse, his business partner, Uncle Miltie, appears to have very selfish priorities. The two plotlines have finally intersected, and there’s a lot to unpack in the mayhem of ‘Pam & Tommy’ episode 4, so let’s get started. WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD.

Recap of Pam & Tommy Episode 4

The episode begins with Pamela and Tommy at the doctor’s office, where the delighted couple sees their unborn child for the first time. We see a very enthusiastic Cleveland man ordering and obtaining a copy of the tape from the website while the two are still blissfully oblivious of the leaked footage that is swiftly circulating throughout the country. Finally, in January 1996, Tommy notices that the safe has vanished. He employs a private investigator after being dissatisfied with the police investigation and swiftly discovers that Miltie and Rand are behind the stolen tape.

Pamela ultimately views the infamous tape when she walks in on her staff mates on the set of ‘Baywatch’ watching it a few days later. She and Tommy finally discover the website, and the rockstar soon finds himself at Miltie’s studio with some of his hardcore motorcycle buddies. The porn producer, on the other hand, is on a high, apparently using the money from Butchie’s loan to have a wild time, and is nowhere to be seen.

Meanwhile, Rand comes across a man in a parking lot who is selling copies of the sex tape for a fraction of the price. Enraged, he berates the man but is powerless to stop others from selling the tapes. He makes his way to Miltie’s studio, only to narrowly avoid the bikers. Rand then discovers his business partner holed up at home and, after informing Miltie that people are looking for them, is urged to return to the studio and clean out all traces of the recording.

Where is Uncle Miltie Going in Pam & Tommy Episode 4?

Rand returns to Miltie’s studio in a frenzy and begins gathering all of the copies of the tape. He nearly avoids Tommy’s private investigator, who arrives just as Rand is about to leave. Rand eventually shows up at Erica’s door, with nowhere else to go, and she wearily allows him in. Meanwhile, Miltie packs his belongings and leaves town, claiming that he wants to speak with the banks to guarantee that their cash are untraceable.

Tommy and Pamela attempt to keep the tape from spreading, but they are astounded by how far it has already spread. They soon start arguing over it, with the actress upset that her husband isn’t taking the situation seriously enough. Pamela loses control and smashes a paparazzi photographer’s car in rage after going to the doctor and being told she’s lost her kid.

All of the primary characters are going through a rough patch in Episode 4. While the titular couple deals with the uncontrollable spread of their private movie, Rand battles to keep his head above water as Tommy’s minions begin to hunt him down. In the midst of the pandemonium, the cunning Miltie sits comfortably on the sidelines, lavishly squandering the loan money. When Rand finally locates him and notifies the (hungover) porn director that guys are chasing them, Miltie becomes furious briefly before asking Rand to clear the studio. Miltie clearly recognizes, much sooner than Rand, that taking and leaking the high-profile private recording will have serious consequences, which is why he has most likely left town for good.

In a brief phone contact, he instructs Rand to “hold down the fort” while he travels to Amsterdam. With the way Miltie has been spending his money, it’s evident that repairing their finances isn’t the only thing on his mind as he travels to Europe. This leaves Rand essentially alone to deal with an explosive scenario that is only growing worse. The episode portrays Rand progressively comprehending the seriousness of his deeds and starting to panic out (with Seth Rogen in his humorous element).

Is Pamela and Tommy Divorcing? What Will Happen to Their Child?

The fact that they are unable to stop the dissemination of their once-private video appears to be putting a strain on Pamela and Tommy’s relationship. The former is horrified by the news of the leaked footage and appears nauseated every time she discovers how far it has travelled. Tommy immediately comforts his wife by telling her that they can retrieve the tape. However, he quickly realizes how helpless he is in the situation, causing further tension between them.

Pamela tells Tommy to leave after a major confrontation about the recording. Soon after, however, she becomes ill, and Tommy brings her to the doctor, where they are informed that their unborn child has died. Though the specifics of what happens to the baby are largely unknown, witnessing Pamela break down is one of the show’s most heartbreaking scenes thus far. She and Tommy come home together, indicating that they haven’t split up (yet). However, the gaps are visible, and in addition to the tape causing them pain, the couple’s relationship has suffered as a result of the death of their child.
