Do Uzui, Tanjirou, Zenitsu, and Inosuke Die in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba?

In ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba,’ Uzui, Tanjirou, Zenitsu, and Inosuke do not die. Gyuutarou previously stabbed Inosuke in the heart with his poison-laced sickle-like weapon in the second season, after which he lay motionless on the ground for a long period. The primary holder of the Upper-Rank Six informs Tanjirou that Uzui’s heart has stopped as a result of the poison spreading throughout his body, while Zenitsu lies powerless beneath the rubble, awaiting his demise.

While it appears like Inosuke has died as Zenitsu uses Godlike speed to almost sever Daki’s head, the user of Wind Breathing joins his companion, stating that poison has no effect on him. Inosuke also claims that he has the ability to relocate his organs within his body, hence Gyuutarou was unable to stab his heart. The brief contact confirms that Inosuke and Zenitsu have not suffered any life-threatening injuries before the Upper-Rank Six demons are sent.

Meanwhile, Tanjirou is not gravely harmed, but that changes when he gets stabbed in the mouth with the demon’s poisoned sword while fighting Gyuutarou. Uzui, on the other hand, is in a bad position because he has lost one arm and the poison is progressively spreading throughout his body. When all of them are about to be decapitated, Gyuutarou, the primary holder of the Upper-Rank Six, resorts to using the blood blade as a last resort. As previously stated, no one, with the exception of Uzui, has suffered life-threatening injuries as of yet. The cliffhanger ending of episode 17 of the second season, however, does not reveal whether or not the Demon Slayers survive.

Uzui goes towards Tanjirou in the last scene of the episode to shield him from the blood swords. Tanjirou has yet to confront Muzan Kibutsuji about the murder of his family and the transformation of his sister into a demon. As a result, his untimely demise makes little sense at this juncture and does nothing to advance the theme of the dark fantasy series. Tanjirou will undoubtedly survive Gyuutarou’s onslaught because his death will ultimately render the show’s major narrative useless. The same cannot be true for his companions Inosuke and Zenitsu, who have accompanied him on all of his travels thus far.

As a result, the only convincing explanation for Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Uzui’s destiny comes from Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga series, which served as the show’s inspiration. While Zenitsu and Inosuke will be severely damaged in the attack and will require Kakushi’s assistance to recuperate from their injuries, they will live. Meanwhile, Uzui, who has received the most severe wounds, will fight for his life.

The poison will rob him of his ability to communicate. Nezuko, on the other hand, will employ the Blood Demon Art to release the Sound Hashira from the poison coursing through his veins. Uzui, who has already lost an arm and an eye, will survive the ordeal and retire. To summarize, Demon Slayer fans can rest confident that no one will die following the conclusion of the combat between Gyuutarou and Daki.
