Chuck’s enthusiastic speech, on the other hand, has turned the city against the Olympics. Prince and his staff recognize the need of hiring a great lawyer to represent the Games. They require someone who is familiar with the local administration and legal system. Kate meets all of these requirements and more, thus she is a foregone conclusion that she will receive the offer.

Billions Season 6 Episode 4 Recap & Ending Explained

As public opinion is strongly opposed to the construction of a new stadium, Taylor devises a plan to placate the residents of New York’s five boroughs. People of the World, it appears, is a firm that leverages blockchain to drain underutilised Wi-Fi from existing networks of big telecom providers and then bundles the untraceable access for civilian usage. As a pre-Olympics goodwill gesture, they can offer free public internet to New York. Athletes and tourists can utilise it during the game. Furthermore, Taylor intends to configure it such that every time someone in New York uses it, someone in Sub-Saharan Africa receives the same amount of Wi-Fi. Clearly taken aback. Prince instructs her to go on with the plan.

Meanwhile, recognising that Prince is laying the groundwork for his big endeavour, Chuck determines to resist him every step of the way. He contacts the governor, who informs him that he will stay out of the conflict until there is a clear winner between Chuck and Prince. Chuck also contacts the major telecommunications companies to inform them of Prince’s plan.

Why Does Kate Accept Mike Prince’s Offer in Billions Season 6 Episode 4?

As concerns with New York’s Olympic bid continue to emerge, Prince and his team realise they need a good lawyer and eventually settle on Kate. Chuck himself is the one who has trained her. She’ll be prepared to deal with any difficulty or regulatory nightmare that arises as they approach closer to the game. As Chuck’s protégé, she is familiar with all of his prospective strategies and might be a very deadly opponent for the crusading New York Attorney General.

Wendy persuades Prince to contact Kate on his behalf. Wendy was previously embroiled in a feud between her ex-husband and Bobby Axelrod, and she understandably does not want to repeat the experience with her new boss. But she realises that if she can do this for Prince, she can ask for anything and speaks with Kate. Kate had been longing to strike out on her own, but she remained faithful to Chuck. She ultimately decides to take that independent step in this episode. Kate is a driven individual. When you are in a position of authority, you must be.

Billions Season 6 Episode 4 Recap & Ending Explained

Working for Chuck had been a learning experience for her, but it had to come to an end at some point. The issue is that her boss refuses to let her go. So, in the end, she must make that decision for herself. And Prince gives her the ideal opportunity by appointing her as the lawyer for the 2028 New York Olympics. Axelrod is not Prince. While he enjoys making money as much as Bobby, there is no ambiguity in his personality. He appears to have an exceptional ability to motivate others. When he approaches Kate that evening, he demonstrates to her that he sincerely wants her to be his peer.

Unlike Chuck, he will not stifle her development, and the two of them will grow together. To make his argument, he decides to back her Congressional campaign. This, combined with his appreciation for Kate’s earlier dedication to Chuck, persuades Kate to accept his offer.
