Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 1 and 2 Recap and Ending Explained

The sixth and last season of ‘Better Call Saul’ begins with a foreboding tone. All of the assets in Saul Goodman’s (Bob Odenkirk) opulent home are carefully boxed, and a life-size cut-out of him is discarded. This is the start of the end. Saul and Kim (Rhea Seehorn) continue their preparations to sabotage Howard in the Sandpiper case in the first two episodes of season 6, titled ‘Wine and Roses’ and ‘Carrot and Stick.’

Lalo (Tony Dalton) discovers a means to trick people into believing he is actually dead. Nacho (Michael Mando) is fleeing an entire country. Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) begins to mistrust the success of the assassins he hired to kill Lalo. Here’s all you need to know about the episode 2 finale of ‘Better Call Saul.’ WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD.

Recap of Better Call Saul Season 6 Episodes 1 and 2

The season 6 premiere episode begins with a flashback scenario in which all of Saul’s assets are bundled and taken. In the past, Nacho has attempted to discover a means to cross the border into the United States while avoiding both the cartel and the Federales. After surviving the attack by the hired murderers dispatched by Gus Fring, Lalo visits his doppelganger’s home, kills him, and burns his body so that everyone believes he is dead. He does, however, make an exception by informing his uncle Hector. This appears to be a mistake, since Fring discovers that he is still alive while visiting Hector.

Meanwhile, Kim appears to be doing well as a pro bono lawyer. Despite the fact that he has been convinced that Lalo is dead, Saul remains uneasy. He and Kim make preparations to find him a new office place. He and Kim begin to carry out their plan for Howard. Under the guise of being interested in joining Howard’s golf club, Saul pays a visit and places a little plastic bag with a suspicious-looking substance in the other man’s locker. Clifford Main is with Howard as he opens the locker, and he notices the bag.

In episode 2, Kim devises a scheme, which Saul grudgingly agrees to carry out. He goes to see Craig and Betsy Kettleman and convinces them that Howard was taking cocaine while representing them, and he promises to clear Craig’s name if they choose him as their lawyer. Betsy, predictably, fires him shortly after employing him. She and Craig then go to see Main in an attempt to get him to take the case, but neither he nor any other lawyer they see agrees to represent them. They are told that they do not have a case everywhere they go.

Betsy eventually realizes that Saul is plotting something against Howard and attempts to blackmail him. This is when Kim intervenes, threatening to report their latest swindle to the IRS. A schism develops between Fring and Mike as a result of the circumstances surrounding Nacho. Nacho is discovered by Leonel and Marco Salamanca in Mexico. The cartel needs Nacho alive since they don’t know who ordered the hit. Nacho crashes his pick-up truck into another vehicle during the ensuing gunfight.

Who Follows Saul and Kim at the End of Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 2?

Someone begins to follow Saul and Kim’s vehicle in their own car as they leave the Kettlemans’ business. It’s possible to conclude that this isn’t Howard. He most likely has no idea what Saul and Kim are up to. The show wants us to think it’s Lalo. When he speaks with Hector in the season 6 opener, the latter begs him to gather evidence against Fring.

Although he is initially unclear how to proceed, Lalo eventually informs his uncle that he knows exactly where he can obtain proof. While Saul has evidence that Fring was involved in transporting Lalo returned to Mexico, Lalo is unaware of this. So whoever is following Saul and Kim isn’t likely to be him.

This leaves only one possible suspect: Gus Fring himself. Fring has concluded that Lalo is still alive and that the other man will eventually come after him. He has already begun to take precautions to ensure that the assassination attempt cannot be traced back to him. Nacho would have died a long time ago if it hadn’t been for Mike. As a result, Fring may have sent someone after Saul and Kim.

Is Nacho still alive?

No, Nacho is probably not dead. During his confrontation with Fring after the shootout, Mike receives a phone call. He informs Fring that the phone call is from Nacho and that he wishes to speak with him. If Mike isn’t lying — and he’s not the kind to lie haphazardly — then the person on the other end of that phone conversation is, in fact, Nacho, who is likely in cartel custody right now.

This indicates that hell is about to break loose. If Leonel and Marco believe Fring murdered their relative, they will go after him. Eladio, the cartel’s leader, admires Fring because he is so successful at what he does. But it doesn’t mean he’ll accept betrayal and internal killings.
