Sebastian P.C. 524 is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by Balaji Sayyapureddy. The film stars Kiran Abbavaram and Nuveksha in the lead roles. The film is produced by Siddha Reddy B, Raju, Pramod under the banner Jovitha Cinemas. The film’s soundtrack is composed by Ghibran and the editing is done by Viplav Nyshadam. The film was theatrically released on 4 March 2022.

Sebastian PC 524 Movie Review

Sebastian PC 524’s trailer teased something interesting. We’re told that there’s a protagonist who is in a pickle, that he must solve a murder mystery, that it’s basically the storey of an underdog who must overcome his obstacles. And, following SR Kalyanamandapam, when moviegoers realised that Kiran Abbavaram chose a script that is half thriller, it undoubtedly raises anticipation. However, the film fails to meet any of them.

The film opens by introducing us to a slew of individuals, as though each one is crucial to the plot. But after Sebastian (Kiran Abbavaram) enters the fray, every scene concentrates around him and the storey takes a back seat. He has night blindness, which his mother wishes to keep hidden. Director Sayyapu Reddy tries to make light of the situation, but the comedy drags on too long.

Soon, a love song is forced into the mix, and the songs put your patience to the limit. The film only gets into the meat of the matter when the murder occurs. Seba’s decision to conceal his impairment results to the murder of a woman in town, and he is suspended. The creators ultimately offer you a cause to be committed and curious about what occurs next.

After seeing the first half of Sebastian PC 524, no one anticipates the picture to be a nail-biting thriller, but at the very least, some good storytelling is expected. However, the confusing narrative, riddled with superfluous twists, is a huge letdown. Sebastian appears to be a twisted joke at an age when worldwide cop dramas are at your fingertips. The manner in which he ‘investigates’ the problem and solves it is equally questionable.

The film also manages to forget the’sincere’ love track that took up so much time in the first half. Because of poor placement in the scheme of things and poor writing, the mother sentiment fails to operate. The climax feels rushed, providing a disappointing conclusion to a mediocre murder case. Ghibran’s background score is insufficient to keep Sebastian PC 524 afloat.

Kiran Abbavaram’s lingo as a Madanapalli youngster may make people chuckle, but it isn’t enough to let him shine. He does a good job in his part, but what’s the point when he gets such scripts? Nuveksha and Komalee Prasad appear briefly and have little to do. All of the other actors do well.

The story of Sebastian PC 524 has so much more potential, but the creators don’t seem to want to attempt. Even the film’s brief runtime feels long – and that tells it all.
