Does Captain Collins Launch the Interceptors at the End of Interceptor? Do Russian Missiles Strike the US?

Captain Collins launches the interceptors before Russian missiles can reach the US. When Alexander unlocks the SBX-1 valves, the base begins to descend into the Pacific. Collins is forced to destroy fourteen Russian missiles before the facility sinks in order to save her country. She knows that Alexander has the luxury of waiting for the base to sink before attacking the US, and the only way to prevent this is to push him to launch the missiles as soon as possible so that she can fire the interceptors before the base sinks as well.
