Synopsis of the Gehraiyaan Plot

Alisha Khanna is a yoga instructor who lives in Mumbai with Karan, her six-year lover. They’ve known one other since they were children, and they’re great friends with her cousin Tia. The sisters had lost contact over the years, but they were reconnected when Tia introduced everyone to her fiancé Zain. Both couples spend the weekend at Tia’s beach house, and Alisha and Zain begin to connect. After being trapped in a loveless and suffocating relationship with Karan for a long time, Alisha seeks refuge in Zain’s sweet-talking attitude, and the two embark on a whirlwind affair.

Zain also invests in the app Alisha is working on, and their friendship grows stronger. She tells him how her mother’s suicide damaged her as a youngster and caused a schism with her father, leading to her anxiety issues. Meanwhile, he tells her about his father’s aggressive behavior toward his mother, which drove him to run away from home as a child. He chooses to break up with Tia by returning the money she has invested in his real estate enterprise, having fallen irrevocably in love with Alisha.

Unfortunately, Zain’s plan is thwarted when a big investor is arrested, and he is forced to come up with a large sum of money quickly to avoid losing his firm. Ending of Gehraiyaan: How Does Zain Die?

When the bank shuts down Alisha’s yoga studio due to legal concerns with Zain’s investment, she goes into his office and they have a heated argument in front of Jitesh. Furthermore, Tia almost discovers his affair, but he tricks her into believing her charges are fake. He also leverages her remorse to persuade her to mortgage her beach house in order to assist him. Alisha, on the other hand, learns that he is still seeking aid from Tia and vehemently threatens him to come clean to her before she does it herself

Zain persuades Alisha to meet him on his yacht to sort things out, then lies to her about telling Tia the truth and refusing her assistance. He also assures her that he would break off his engagement with his fiancée soon in order to begin a life with her. When Alisha reads his texts with Jitesh, she quickly sees through his mask. Furthermore, she realizes his plans to murder her when she notices him pouring her anxiety tablets into her drink. Alisha desperately tries to call Tia and confess, but Zain notices and confronts her. He tries to push her off the yacht, but slips and injures his head instead.

Zain drowns after falling into the ocean, while a terrified Alisha comes home and miscarries. The next day, the cops discover his body washed up on the beach and notify a broken Tia. Meanwhile, Jitesh arrives and blackmails a remorseful Alisha into obtaining the paperwork Tia signed for him. In exchange, he demonstrates Zain’s death was a suicide in front of the cops, removing any evidence of her involvement.

Is Karan and Alisha going to end up together?

No, Karan and Alisha are not destined to be together. By the time Zain and Tia enter their lives, his and Alisha’s long-term relationship has already begun to deteriorate. Karan quit his work at an ad agency to write his novel, and the delays force him to vent his rage on Alisha. He also keeps things from her and doesn’t allow her participate in his decisions, making her feel excluded and mistreated. When he decides to take a writing break at Tia’s beach house without informing Alisha, she is enraged.

Alisha is drawn to Zain by her dread of becoming imprisoned in a pointless relationship like her mother. They had a passionate romance, but she backs down when Karan proposes marriage to her on her birthday. However, when she discovers that his work was rejected by the publisher and that he withheld this information from her, she lashes out at him for being unconsiderate. They have a furious quarrel, and she ends their relationship after understanding the similarities between their relationship and her parents’ marriage.

Tia tries to persuade Alisha to speak to him at Karan’s request, but she refuses. As a result, they part ways, and she continues her covert romance with Zain. What Is the Relationship Between Alisha and Tia?

Alisha and Tia are cousins who spent a significant amount of their childhood together. Their fathers are brothers, but Alisha’s father opted to leave the family company and relocate to Nashik with his wife and daughter. As a result, the sisters were estranged for several years before Tia introduced Zain to everyone. After his death, she confesses that Alisha’s mother, Sonali, had an affair with her father, and so they are biological sisters. She goes on to say that the beach house was in Alisha’s name and that Zain sold it by lying about mortgaging it.

Alisha understands that Sonali killed herself out of guilt, not because of her father’s actions, as she had previously imagined. Disgusted, she apologizes to him and expresses her regret for ending up like her mother. Alisha’s father asks her to forgive Sonali and her, and they both make apologies. Two years later, she runs into Tia during Karan’s wedding. Alisha, at her request, decides to let go of her past and start over with her cousin.
