Recap of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 8

After exiting the Infinite Labyrinth, Naofumi and his pals arrive in the land where Kizuna was summoned in the first place. The hunting hero informs the shield hero and his group that they have arrived in the enemy country. Her fellow Cardinal heroes were summoned to save Sikul, who is approximately a week away on foot. Furthermore, they will have to pass through many checkpoints along the trip, which may complicate matters further.

As a result, Kizuna encourages them to instead travel to Mikakage’s capital city and utilize the dragon hourglass there to warp to Sikul. It will save them a lot of time and also save them the inconvenience of travelling through checkpoints where Kizuna is likely to be arrested. As a result, they journey by foot and arrive in Mikakage in two to three days. Naofumi is shocked that the city’s traditional costume and currency are so close to those of Japan.

Soon after their arrival, they come across a public billboard attempting to raise public awareness that neighboring countries are breeding monsters. They’re also researching on teleportation and other technologies that will give ordinary folks the powers of a Cardinal hero. Although Naofumi and his friends are surprised by the new knowledge, they are relieved that the government is unaware of Kizuna and their escape from the Infinite Labyrinth.

In the days that follow, they acquire money to buy weapons and tools for their objective, and they prepare for their expedition to obtain the dragon hourglass so that they can finally travel to Sikul. However, they discover one day that a brilliant magician from another nation has discovered a way to exploit the Return Dragon Vein. That information is essential since the shield hero and his companions are determined to obtain the dragon hourglass as quickly as possible.

The End of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 8: Did Naofumi and His Friends Find the Dragon Hourglass and Travel to Sikul?

When the importance of locating the dragon hourglass becomes apparent, Naofumi and his pals plan to infiltrate the building where it is allegedly stored. Although security is tight there, Rapthalia points out that they may take advantage of the inclement weather that night. They begin their quest with the help of the hunting hero, hoping that there will not be as many warriors guarding the dragon hourglass.

Surprisingly, the shield hero and his companions encounter no foes, raising suspicions. According to Kizuna, they eventually make it to the door of the room where the dragon hourglass is reportedly stored. However, when they enter the door, they encounter a dead end and are quickly besieged by soldiers. It turns out that the shield hero and his comrades were unaware of the rigorous security measures in place for the dragon hourglass.

With no other choice but to fight back, Rapthalia takes the lead and leads her allies to various portions of the perplexing building to get what they’ve been looking for. She senses one of the dead ends is hollow after a long search and proceeds to demolish the entryway. Rapthalia and her companions discover the genius mage – credited with inventing a method for using the Return Dragon Vein – waiting for them there.

He reveals that this was all a trap, and that he purposefully left a few soldiers outside so that he could corner and surround them with more men. To their amazement, the magician claims to be operating on Kyo’s orders and has been instructed to capture them dead or alive. Before the troops can do any harm, the shield hero uses his skills to force them away, while Rapthalia creates a path for his comrades to reach the dragon hourglass.

The hunting hero spares no time in initiating the wrap with her powers so that they can reach Sikui as soon as possible. However, Rapthalia is suddenly left out of its impact just moments after it is activated, and Kyo’s voice greets the shield hero. The villain says that he sent him to the Infinite Labyrinth on purpose and that he will now catch Rapthalia for his experiments, just like Filo. So, although everyone else makes it to the Sikui, Rapthalia is unable to accompany him. She accepts her fate joyfully and decides to combat Naofumi’s adversaries.
