When a mystery woman approaches, he is asked if he is the shield hero. When Naofumi responds in the affirmative, she vanishes shortly after begging to be slain, leaving the hero perplexed. Soon after, a sacred military meeting is convened, at which the allied troops discuss the recent violence and destruction unleashed in the aftermath of the Spirit Tortoise’s unexpected waking.

According to rumors, the mythical monster has destroyed the capital and is now sleeping. If legends are to be accepted, he will most likely remain in this state for two to three days. Following that, the allied forces believe the Spirit Tortoise will travel to Rohiloth, a thickly inhabited city in the region. Naofumi encourages the current leaders to devise some countermeasures because they have more than ample time.

While the majority of them believe that the united troops will be more than enough to stop the continuous threat, one of the military leaders believes that the shield hero will be required since conquering the legendary monster will be difficult. When asked about the Seven Star Heroes, Naofumi is utterly unaware of their existence. In her human form, she entered the government in order to influence political decisions, which resulted in conflicts, allowing the legendary monster to collect souls, which he planned to use to stop the disastrous waves.
