Izumi and Kamiya talk about the recently released live-action film based on a fairytale in the library. While the former acknowledges that he hasn’t seen it yet, Kamiya says that it has had a significant impact on her in various ways. Meanwhile, Nekozaki texts Kamiya, asking for a favor, which she ignores.

She quickly finds her at the library and asks Izumi to excuse them for a moment. Nekozaki lets Shikimori speak after she takes Kamiya outside. It turns out that the titular protagonist wants Kamiya to provide her the Couple Numbers so that she can take the annual cultural festival photo with her partner. Kamiya provides Shikimori her phone number without hesitation.

When Izumi walks out of the library to see what is going on, Kamiya shifts the subject and offers to cover for him at the library so that he can enjoy himself with his buddies. Later that day, she assisted her students with the cultural event. As soon as she is free, Kamiya heads to the school terrace to explore her odd feelings for Izumi, which have recently conflicted her.

She convinces herself that she needs to get over her foolish feelings for Izumi because he is already with someone else. Shikimori arrives while she is still talking to herself to return the Couple Numbers she had taken from her earlier. It turns out that the titular protagonist has understood that Kamiya has also fallen for Izumi and does not want to influence her to do anything against her will.

Kamiya, the perfect girl in school, is struggling with her emotions right now. She does not disguise her perplexity in front of Shikimori, who provides her a shoulder to cry on. The titular protagonist even shreds the Couple Numbers and informs Kamiya that she is a magnificent human being for attempting to give so much for others.

While Shikimori provides Kamiya with emotional support as she deals with her complex emotions, Izumi is concerned about something else. He couldn’t celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday as nicely as he would have liked the previous year. With their anniversary and Shikimori’s birthday approaching in a few days, Izumi begins planning in the hopes of giving his lover the perfect surprise this time. He goes to a nearby mall to get a present for the titular protagonist.

However, because he has never shopped for a girl before, he is absolutely lost. As a result, he seeks assistance from the saleswoman present. On the concluding day of the Cultural Festival, Izumi’s entire class celebrates the success of the cafe that they ran for the event. Izumi brings his girlfriend to a quiet area where no one can bother them after they have partied. Despite his trepidation, he hands Shikimori the gift he purchased and urges her to open it.

Izumi has purchased a heart-shaped pendant for Shikimori, which she adores. While assisting her in wearing it around her neck, he expresses his gratitude for her love and support over the last few months. Shikimori can’t stop crying after hearing his lovely words.

Izumi has already seen that she appears to be concerned about something, but Shikimori does not tell him about her chat with Kamiya. She does, however, promise him that she will not allow any attractive or intellectual girl to lure him away from him. Although Shikimori’s birthday celebration is not elaborate, the pair appears to grow closer simply by spending time alone.
