Recap of Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 Episode 7

When Komi goes home after assisting Tadano, she is disturbed by the possibility that Najimi saw her holding his hands. The fact that Tadano was sleeping adds to the embarrassment for the titular protagonist, who is unsure what to make of the circumstance. She writes a lengthy letter in which she warns Najimi not to interpret the hand holding romantically.

Writing, however, does not alleviate the embarrassment. Even when she tries to convince herself that holding hands isn’t such a huge thing, Komi realizes that, regardless of what others think, it’s really important to her. She spends the rest of the night attempting to draft another letter that better describes the situation. They arrive at the incorrect time the next day, just as Komi is about to put the note in Najimi’s locker, and grabs it from her hands.

When Najimi reads the letter, it just indicates that she was monitoring Tadano’s pulse, which perplexes them because they didn’t think much of the occurrence or perhaps never noticed it at all. Meanwhile, Tadano meets Komi and greets her. However, the possibility that the titular protagonist never visited his residence the day before and was simply hallucinating creeps into his mind, and he begins to worry. Tadano has just praised Komi for assisting him, which he claims would be creepy if it didn’t happen.

Fortunately, when he asks Najimi what their friend was doing the day before, she clarifies that she was simply monitoring his pulse. Tadano is happy that he was not hallucinating, and Komi did pay her a visit the day before. Meanwhile, Naruse Shisuto, a narcissist, is intrigued with Komi and decides that she is the only person in his school who resembles his appearance. As a result, he chooses to approach her and make friends with her.

When he approaches to say hi to her, he is literally pushed back and obstructed by other pupils gathering around the titular protagonist. Shisuto believes it must be a coincidence, so when Komi leaves the classroom, he decides to follow her. Yamai approaches him from behind, whispering that she knows what he intends to do and tries to dissuade him from thinking about it.

As if this wasn’t awful enough, the rest of his students continue to interrupt and obstruct him from reaching Komi. When Komi notices he has dropped his handkerchief, she returns it to him. Shisuto regains his confidence, and after school, he approaches her to exchange phone numbers by handing her his phone. Komi panics and runs away because he doesn’t understand what he’s saying.

What Concerns Komi About the School Trip? Season 2 Episode 7 Ending: Komi Can’t Communicate

Komi’s instructor explains that they will be going on a school excursion soon, and that everyone should form groups for themselves. Najimi, Tadano, and Komi meet after school to talk about it. Najimi adores Kyoto, and she can’t stop talking about returning. Meanwhile, Tadano realizes Komi is buried in thought and attempts to solicit her viewpoint. It quickly becomes clear that something is upsetting her.

Tadano tries to ask his friend what she’s been thinking all day as the two pals walk back home on the same day. Komi initially bluffs, claiming that everything is fine. She later admits, however, that when the junior high school trip was discussed a few years ago and the teacher requested the pupils to form groups, she was left alone.

Komi was hurt since no one contacted her, and even when he joined a group, she wasn’t sure if others wanted her or not. Because her memories are still fresh, Tadano reassures her that she now has Najimi and him. When the teacher asks the students who they want to pick for their team the next day, everyone shouts Komi’s name.
