Kelly Clarkson is now divorced! According to various sources, Clarkson and her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, have finally resolved their divorce nearly two years after the American Idol veteran filed for divorce from the music manager.
L.A. Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon has approved the terms, which will give Clarkson primary custody of their two children, River, 7, and Remington, 5. Blackstock, who resides in Montana, will have their children once a month.
ET has reached out to Clarkson and Blackstock for comment.
According to the documents obtained by The Blast, The Kelly Clarkson Show host will be required to pay Blackstock spousal support in the amount of $115,000 each month, however this will stop in January 2024. He also receives $45,600 each month in child support. While Clarkson will receive both of their Montana homes, Blackstock will have to pay the “Since U Been Gone” singer $2,000 per month while he lives at their ranch until June.
The singer will also receive the family pets, various cars, including a Ford Bronco, a Ford F-250, and a Porsche Cayenne, as well as a flight simulator, according to the court documents.
Blackstock will receive the former couple’s “farm cattle, livestock, stock dogs, and horses,” as well as various cars, including a Ford F-350, a Ford F-250, an ATV, and several CAT snowmobiles. He’ll also get a golf simulator and a handful of Patek Philippe watches.
While their prenuptial agreement will stay in place, Clarkson, 39, will pay her former $1.3 million as part of the settlement. The prenuptial agreement separates all assets and income produced during her marriage to 45-year-old Blackstock, granting her custody of the Montana property where their family quarantined together earlier in 2020.
In October, a judge determined that the Montana ranch belonged to the singing competition judge. At the time, Blackstock claimed that all property and assets accumulated during their marriage, including the ranch, were marital property possessed at an equal 50/50 split. However, that argument was rejected by the judge, who determined that property acquired during their marriage was subject to the terms of the prenuptial agreement.
The former married couple settled their dispute over ranch ownership in January.
Legal records obtained by ET at the time show that the talk show host agreed to grant Blackstock a 5.12 percent stake in their Warren Peak Ranch property. The property is worth $17,750,000, but according to the records, “Brandon’s 5.12 percent ownership interest in the Warren Peak Ranch is $908,800.”
Clarkson, who was legally declared single in August, filed for divorce from Blackstock in June 2020, about seven years after their marriage ended.
“Kelly is thankful for her relationship with Brandon since she learned a lot about herself and had two perfect children,” a source told ET in September. “Kelly is excited to go on and co-parent effectively with Brandon.”
