Recap of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3 Episode 1

With the rest of his classmates occupied in the assembly, Ishigami is studying by himself when Iino enters the hall unexpectedly. She is plainly irritated by his presence and does not hesitate to express her displeasure. Ishigami is obviously irritated by her unnecessary remarks and promptly claps back. Their conversation is cut short when Iino puts on her headphones and begins to study. Soon, the entire hall is filled with healing noises, and Ishigami sees that Iino has not properly inserted the headphone port into her smartphone.

Ishigami considers informing her, but since he is enjoying the soothing music, he changes his mind. This, however, proves to be a horrible decision because he is subjected to embarrassing songs and motivating talks that Iino would never want anyone to hear. As a result, when their friends return from the assembly, Ishigami attempts to divert their attention with small talk. When that fails, he puts on a headphone without putting in the audio jack and listens to a humiliating tune in the hopes that Iino will check hers as well. Unfortunately, that does not work either, as she ends up pressing play without first checking the headphones.

Kaguya later joins Line after purchasing her own smartphone. Shirogane texts her, but instead of responding right away, she simply reads the message and pretends to be busy. She is clearly unaware of the read receipt feature, and when Hayasaka discovers what Kaguya has been up to all this time, she is likewise reluctant to tell her the truth. Meanwhile, Shirogane texts her again, and Kaguya does not react. That’s when she informs Hayasaka she’s been doing it for two hours, which naturally makes him worried.

Shirogane recognizes by this point that Kaguya is most likely unaware of the read receipt feature and calls her to inform her. If his assumption is correct, it will prove that she was staring at her phone all this time, waiting for his messages, confirming her feelings for him. However, just as he finishes explaining, Hayasaka reveals that Kaguya’s messages are screened by the domestic employees. So, technically, she never saw his texts. Shiogane is taken aback by the explanation and is unable to come up with a strong case that she is lying.

As a result, his suspicions about Kaguya being interested in him turn out to be unfounded, despite the fact that he is very close to the truth. The next day, Fujiwara and Ishigami clash when the former struggles to carry large boxes to the hall. When the former deems him weak, Ishigami responds sarcastically that he is at least stronger than the girls. His remarks enrage Fujiwara, who believes she works hard on her fitness and could easily beat him in an arm wrestle. When the brawl gets out of hand, everyone decides to hold an arm-wrestling contest to see who is the strongest of them all.

Who Wins The Student’s Council Arm Wrestling Tournament in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3 Episode 1?

The four contestants in the student council arm wrestling tournament are Kaguya, Shirogane, Fujiwara, and Ishigami. The first bout pits Ishigami against Kaguya. The latter believes that the match would be easy and uses all of his strength to terminate it as quickly as possible. However, he is astounded to discover that he is unable to turn Kaguya’s hand at all. Ishigami feels a tremendous force on his hand just moments later, and before he can fully comprehend what is occurring, he realizes he has lost the bout.

Fujiwara also puts up a spirited fight in the second game, something no one imagined. The student council members, on the other hand, quickly detect that she has been holding her hands in a certain position that provides her an advantage against Shirogane. She loses in an instant when the hands are readjusted. Shiogane and Kaguya make it to the finals, and they are both thrilled to be able to hold each other’s hands.

When the match begins, both players apply just enough force to maintain their hands balanced in order to hold onto each other’s hands for as long as possible. Their hands become sweaty after a while. That’s when Kaguya, who was about to give up freely, applies a little too much power and wins the student council arm wrestling event.
