Recap of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3 Episode 9

Kaguya decides to confess to Miyuki just seconds before arriving at her school for the Hoshin Cultural Festival, regardless of how he feels about her. Meanwhile, Miyuki is perplexed by the same quandary as he recalls his first year at the prestigious Shuchiin Academy. Kaguya dresses up in a traditional Japanese outfit for the Cosplay Cafe planned by her class, while Hayasaka surprises her by dressing up as a maid.

The titular protagonist is tasked with standing outside the classroom and inviting students to try the cafe. Unbeknownst to her and her classmates, the cafe attracts a large number of boys, and it becomes so crowded at one point that Kaguya is called in to help serve the clients. Meanwhile, she is waiting for Miyuki to arrive so she can finally express what she wants. However, the customers she serves are highly particular about how their coffee and tea are prepared, and they harshly criticize Kaguya.

One of them, who has been watching Hayasaka from afar, is pleased by her abilities and asks her to take Kaguya’s place. When asked to judge Kaguya’s performance as a waitress, Hayasaka is harsh in her assessment, further infuriating her buddy. Kaguya promises to show the customer that her green tea is flawless, but just as she turns to go, Miyuki enters the cafe. However, now that she has accepted the challenge, she prepares a wonderful cup of tea for the two customers, who retract their earlier critique.

However, one of them mysteriously asserts that the tea she makes is filled with love, implying that Kaguya is in love with someone. Even though he eventually realizes that the lucky guy is Miyuki, he fails to convey the information to him since the President thinks he is creepy for some reason. Meanwhile, Ishigami is in the same situation as Kaguya and keeps a safe distance from Tsubame. Maki soon joins and starts pressuring him to ask Tsubame out.

How Did Miyuki Develop a Crush on Kaguya in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3 Episode 9?

When Miyuki first arrived at the prestigious Shuchiin Academy, he was disappointed to see that the majority of the students were disrespectful because they hailed from wealthy homes. He worked hard to get into the famous school, but throughout his first year, he began to feel as though he had made a major mistake. Miyuki is approached by the then-Student President, who believes he will be a valuable addition to the Council while he sits alone eating his lunch and cursing the students.

He publicly criticizes the school’s shortcomings, and the Student President agrees with much of what he says. Miyuki learns about the pupils from powerful families, including Kaguya, from him. Miyuki doesn’t pay much attention to her at first, but that quickly changes. When the Kids President introduces him to some of the students who are volunteering to clean up the pond behind the school, one of them falls in.

Kaguya jumps into the water after tying a rope around her waist as Miyuki is locked in place. Miyuki is taken aback by what he sees in front of him and recognizes something critical. Despite his previous criticism of students from rich families, Miyuki believes that in times of disaster, only the person who puts their life on the line to save someone else is attractive, and wealth and other criteria become irrelevant. Miyuki eventually fell in love with Kaguya because of this moment.

Is Ishigami successful in asking Tsubame out?

After Maki expresses her viewpoint to Ishigami, the two are joined by Nagisa and her lover, Tsubasa. They each tell stories about their own relationships in order to boost Ishigami’s confidence. Tsubasa believes that if he invites Tsubame to his class attraction, a Haunted House, he would finally get the opportunity to propose to her. Nagisa becomes delighted because Tsubame like horror films, and she is sure to enjoy Ishigami’s class attractiveness as well.

After much deliberation, Ishigami approaches his crush and asks if she wants to go to the haunted home with him. Tsubame, to his surprise, says yes without even thinking about it. Although it is not a true confession, Ishigami has finally asked his crush out.
