• Objective of the scheme :- The aim of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to start this scheme is that the people living in the forest area get a chance to lead a happy life and the villages of Vananchal become self-reliant and self-sufficient.
• Objective of the scheme: – At least 19 lakh families will be included in this scheme.
• Conducting economic activities: – Under this scheme, a group of 10,000 villages will be formed to conduct forest based economic activities and each group will have 10 to 15 members. Especially youth will be included in these groups.
• Promotion of self-employment and prosperity: – With this scheme, the beneficiaries of the state will get the opportunity of self-employment as well as a chance to become prosperous.
• Establishment of Forest Produce Processing Center :- Forest produce processing centers will also be set up under this scheme, which will be built in each tribal development block. Altogether there will be 85 development blocks where these centers will be established.
• Total budget :- In this scheme, the state government has allocated a budget of up to Rs.8.50 crore for the establishment of forest produce processing center, out of which at least Rs.10 lakh will be spent in the construction of each centre.
• Tasks to be given to the formed groups: – Village groups have been formed in this plan. Whose work will be to manage tree management, purchase of forest produce, marketing and processing.
• Purchase of forest produce: – Earlier only 7 types of forest produce were procured in Chhattisgarh, but now it has increased to 31.
• Correct value of forest produce: – The forest produce sold by forest groups will get the right price. And this will also increase the support price.
• Planting of fruit bearing and herbal plants: – In this scheme, the income of the forest dwellers is also to be increased, for this trees will be planted in place of timber bearing fruit trees and medicinal plants.
