Recap of Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 Episode 9

Myne’s security is jeopardized while on her journey home with her pals and under the protection of a knight when it is discovered that the noble from the previous day has been permitted admission through the gates again. Damuel gets into a verbal spat with one of the soldiers stationed on the ground after learning that the captain went to the Cathedral to check on Myne’s safety. In the midst of the pandemonium, the protagonist is left alone, and two men abduct her along with Tuuli.

Fortunately, Myne’s father arrives on time and notices both of the kidnappers attempting to run with the children. He manages to climb on one of them and free Myne without losing a single second. When the blue-robed priestess observes the other thief attempting to flee with Tuuli, she loses control of her mana due to rage and threatens to murder him when he tries to sever her friend’s neck with a knife.

Her overpowering powers send the kidnapper to his knees in a matter of seconds, and Tuuli is also set free, after which the two men are imprisoned. Myne rushes to the Cathedral, accompanied by her pals Damuel and others. To everyone’s surprise, the High Priest has vanished for unknown reasons. Damuel bestows onto Myne a ring that allows her to keep some of her mana within it.

Meanwhile, Lord Bindewald signs an adoption contract for Dirk in front of Dalia. Dalia is overjoyed because the High Bishop is also in attendance. Myne and her pals, on the other hand, have already realized that something is awry. At the Cathedral, they confront the High Bishop and Bindewald. The latter had wished to encounter the blue-robed priestess in person.

Bindewald has not only adopted Dirk, but has also cleverly obtained a submission contract, much to Dalia’s surprise. Dirk will have to spend much of his latter life fulfilling the interests of the perverted nobility who simply seeks power, according to the horrible stipulations. Bindewald sends his men to attack Myne’s companions and her, making Dalia feel betrayed.

He gives them the authority to kill anybody save the blue-robed priestess, with whom he wishes to create a submission pact in the same way Dirk did. Myne’s surplus mana can be incredibly valuable to Bindewald, who lost several men in the unsuccessful ambush a few weeks before. To his amazement, Myne does not stand by and watch her people be attacked; instead, she utilizes her talents to protect everyone from the noble.

Ending of Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 Episode 9: Does Count Bindewald Form a Submission Contract With Myne?

When Myne joins the conflict that has just begun, the two sides begin to resemble each other. Bindewald, on the other hand, informs the blue-robed priestess that she will be unable to utilize her powers to fight him because she is wearing a submission ring. Fortunately, the protagonist has yet to sign a submission contract, thus the ring’s effects do not appear to be as binding as the perverted nobility would have hoped. Unfortunately, Myne is taken aback when the High Bishop uses Dirk as a human shield.

When the High Bishop’s companion takes Myne to the noble to compel her to sign a submission contract, her father miraculously saves her at the last time, knocking down Bindewald in the process. The nobility uses his powers to attack Gunther, causing the blue-robed priestess to lose her rage once more. Her mana erupts out of control, destroying any equipment capable of absorbing it. When Bindewald looks to be planning another attack, the High Priest comes and says that he has instructed his guards to lie and say he is not at the Cathedral.

It is now evident to him that the High Bishop intends to aid the nobility in creating a submission contract not just with Dirk but also with Myne. Ferdinand resolves to confront the two warped guys himself. Bindewald fights back while the High Bishop is restrained by his powers in a matter of seconds. Myne, on the other hand, is there to help the High Priest as they prepare for an all-out battle. To summarize, Bindewald is unable to create a submission contract with Myne.
