Based on the novel “The Chinaman,” the film follows the storey of Ngoc Minh Quan (Jackie Chan), an immigrant residing in London who seeks vengeance after his daughter is killed in a bomb blast. Quan is a dangerous guy because, although living a normal life, he is a former Vietnam War special forces operator, and he sets out to discover the terrorists responsible for the bombs using the abilities he learned during his training. From the free-hand rock climbing in the beginning to the bike pursuit action scene towards the end of the movie, we don’t truly feel like we are seeing a spy thriller but a high octane action movie. The plot revolves around I.M.F. agent Ethan Hunt travelling on a mission to identify and eliminate the virus known as Chimera, which was stolen from a biochemical lab by Hunt’s former partner Sean Ambrose. In this picture, director John Woo’s style is very much appreciated for using Hong Kong cinema style gunfights and slow motions. Hunt would have simply retrieved and destroyed the virus samples, but because the antagonist messed with him by imprisoning Hunt’s love interest, he ends up killing Ambrose and his entire crew, something that a Real Man would do.
6. Street Kings
Before the release of John Wick, if there was any film in which Keanu Reeves was portrayed as a “tough guy,” it was Street Kings. In this film, Reeves plays the role of Tom Ludlow, a police detective who sets out to locate the killers of his former partner, which leads him to the truth about the corruption inside his unit. When he discovers that he, too, has been steadily sucked into his unit’s dirty games, he defies all odds and begins hunting them down one by one. His character is portrayed as a dedicated and honest cop who solves cases with his wits and the type of person who can become a cruel man when confronted with a criminal. The fighting scenes appear to be very realistic, but the level of violence may be upsetting to some viewers. Aside from that, it’s a fantastic cop movie to see.

Another “Tough Girl” film that M.M.A. fans will enjoy because it stars U.F.C. fighter Gina Carano as the protagonist. Anyone would like watching the lead actor conduct his or her own stunts, which Carano accomplishes beautifully in the film. The film’s plot revolves around Mallory Kane, who works for a business that handles covert operations for the government and is tasked with identifying the true perpetrators of an assassination attempt for which she has been falsely implicated. Director Steven Soderbergh’s attempt to craft an action film is admirable, and the film does not disappoint. When we start to wonder how one man will save all of the people in the building, we acquire a sense of stress. McClane’s character has been portrayed as the type of cop who, even when not on duty, is always responsible for saving people in times of peril. The film is well recognised for its innovative action scenes and gunfights, which were uncommon in action films at the time. The film’s critical and commercial success spawned four further sequels, making it a must-see for all action lovers.

This is another outstanding action-thriller film that helped Liam Neeson establish himself as an action star. Despite his age at the time of the film’s premiere, the character of Neeson, Bryan Mills, fits in perfectly. The plot revolves around retired CIA field agent Mills, who travels to Paris to retrieve his daughter, who was kidnapped by Albanian sex traffickers while on vacation in France. What makes the film a classic is Neeson’s portrayal of his character as an unshakeable strong and crafty man who is also a caring and responsible parent who goes to any length to recover his daughter. The realistic-looking action sequences, good conversations, and the progressive storey make the film so watchable that no one can stop thinking about it long after they’ve seen it.

When one thinks of a Real Man movie character, the first, and most likely only, name that springs to mind is James Bond. A dynamic, active, and strong-willed individual who has complete trust in his agency is the type of man everyone should look for in a spy-thriller film. Daniel Craig, as Bond, is possibly the only actor that fits the role the best out of all the others. The plot revolves around Bond’s first job as Agent 007, in which he is tasked with bankrupting a terrorist financier in a poker game. They say that a true man never deviates from his duty and ensures that nothing goes wrong, and we see this in Bond when, after discovering that he has been duped by the lady he loves, he denounces her as a traitor when she drowns and dies. This makes Bond a dutiful man who is devoted to the agency for which he serves. This is one of the best Bond films and a must-see for all Bond fans.

Upon its first release, this film quickly established itself as an all-time action classic, and Keanu Reeves’ performance as John Wick adds to the film’s allure, as no one else could have done justice to the part. The film incorporates retro Japanese-style gunfights, which are uncommon in Hollywood films. The plot of the film is straightforward, but the representation of each character in the film is superb. When directors work with professional stunt coordinators, it results in a superb action film. Everyone should see this film, and those who aren’t fans of action films may change their minds after seeing it.
