20 Best Movie and TV Sex Scenes on Netflix (2022)

20 Best Movie and TV Sex Scenes on Netflix (2022) –  Sex can be entertaining to watch, but it is not always simple for filmmakers to pull off. If every detail of an intimate scene in a film is not executed correctly, it may come across as comical or overly gory. There is no one way to do it perfectly, and filmmakers are constantly experimenting with different methods to depict sex. Some of them overdo it at times, while others may downplay the whole issue. Only a few are able to reach a sweet spot that works nicely with the storyline of the film or show while also perfectly portraying the chemistry between the characters.

Sex is frequently used for promotional purposes in films and television shows. They are only employed to entice the audience. I’ll leave it up to you to decide whether that’s correct or incorrect. However, for the purposes of this paper, no judgements will be made. I’m sure if you’re reading this, you’re looking for Netflix movies and TV episodes containing sex scenes.

The good news is that Netflix has a number of films and shows featuring extremely graphic and realistic sex scenes.

Stay for the tale or just move ahead to the scenes; the choice is entirely yours. Just make sure you only view these in the privacy of your own house and not in public, otherwise you can end up looking like a complete idiot. That being said, here’s a roundup of the best sex scenes on Netflix. Some of these personal flicks and shows will turn you on, while others will probably break your heart.

The Witcher (2019 -)

‘The Witcher,’ created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, is a fantasy drama streaming television series based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s book of the same name. The series features Geralt, a mutant monster hunter who is struggling to find a purpose in life as the evil of the humans makes him wonder if they are any better than the creatures. It made this list due to the passionate public sex scene between Yennefer and Istredd. While the show features other sizzling moments, the one highlighted above is certainly the most memorable. The show can be viewed here.

You (2018 -)

‘You’ is a psychological thriller about a bookstore manager who falls for an aspiring writer. Unfortunately, the manager’s infatuation with getting closer to his crush quickly turns into a frenzy, and he goes to questionable lengths to guarantee that he has her all to himself. While the series might be unpleasant at times, especially when it comes to sexually explicit content, ‘You’ has its share of scorching moments. None of them, however, come close to Joe and Love’s dramatic lovemaking scenes in which the latter takes control of her lover on the bed while the two passionately indulge in their deepest desires. The show can be viewed here.

Versailles (2015-18)

Versailles has frequently blurred the boundary between true porn and a TV show. It was almost to the point of becoming porn with a tale. However, rather than increasing the popularity of this historical French-Canadian series, the violent sex scenes in this one contributed to its demise. One episode of the second season shocked viewers by exposing a full-frontal nude orgy. People began to share their conflicting feelings about the show on Twitter, with the majority of them being negative. This resulted in a drop in overall viewership, and the show was eventually canceled by the BBC. You can watch it here.

Bodyguard (2018)

‘Bodyguard’ stars a stunning retired woman who is tasked with protecting a hot politician who is characterized by her colleagues as a self-centered sociopath. The show also addresses issues like as terrorism, politics, and women’s empowerment, but above all, it is about two incredibly horny people who can’t get enough of each other. Some sexual tension is created in the first episode, and the best is found in the second. And as for the two of them, their objectionable relationship causes them to reassess their professional and personal convictions. Critics argue the sex scenes destroyed it, yet if it hadn’t been for the sex, this show would never have made it to this list. Watch it right here.

Ginny & Georgia (2021 -)

The comedy-drama streaming television series follows the main deuteragonists’ family as they attempt to establish themselves in a gorgeous New England town. Georgia had an unsettled childhood, and now she wants to provide her family with nothing but security and opportunities to thrive. While the show has a lot to offer, it also boasts one of the most realistic sex scenes you’re likely to see. Ginny, a virgin, copulates with her next-door neighbor, who has no idea it is her first time. While the sequence is clunky and weird at times, the build-up to the moment is so well done that one can’t help but watch the drama develop with bated breath. The show can be viewed here.

White Girl (2016)

‘White Girl,’ set in New York City, is about a girl named Leah who falls in love with a heroin addict she meets for the first time. She spends a full night partying, going crazy on the streets of New York, and doing everything wrong in search of pleasures to satisfy her lust. She does discover happiness, but she also encounters pain along the way. Many of the characters in the film are caricatures, and the film makes an effort to address the issue of women’s safety by incorporating elements of the male gaze and sexual assault.

Overall, the picture fails to convey a specific message and becomes just another sexy drama. The moment in which she sleeps with the drug addict is arguably the greatest. It’s the only sequence in which you can see a genuine connection between the characters, rather than just bland, dreary sex. However, a word of caution: the video contains multiple depictions of sexual assault that may be upsetting to some viewers. Watch it right here.

Sex/Life (2021 -)

‘Sex/Life,’ created by Stacy Rukeyser, is a drama streaming television series starring Sarah Shahi, Mike Vogel, and Adam Demos. Billie Connelly, a married middle-aged lady going through a midlife crisis, stars in the film. Her mundane life, however, is abruptly altered by the arrival of ex-boyfriend Brad, who is anxious to win her back. In some ways, the show portrays the raw emotions that occur when the former lovers rejoin, and practically every other episode has an explosive sex scene that provides insight into Billie’s conflicted mood. The show can be viewed here.

Newness (2017)

‘Newness,’ directed by Drake Doremus, follows the story of a young couple, Martin (Nicholas Hoult) and Gabriella (Laia Costa), who meet through an online dating app. Their romance takes off quickly after their first night together, and they soon begin living together. They both cheat on each other after their first major disagreement. When they realize that monogamy isn’t working for them, they decide to have an open relationship. However, it quickly becomes clear that this is a horrible decision, as the love that existed between them eventually loses way to wrath, selfishness, and envy. The film can be viewed here.

Dark Desire (2020-)

Netflix The plot of Mexico’s ‘Dark Desire’ centres around Alma (Maite Perroni), a law professor who is married to the highly regarded judge Leonardo (Jorge Poza). In recent years, their passion has waned, and Alma suspects her husband of cheating. After meeting Dario (Alejandro Speitzer) at a nightclub, her life takes an abrupt and exhilarating turn. They have intercourse as a result of one event leading to another. She returns home, feeling very terrible, convinced that she and Dario have parted ways for good. When he enrolls in her class, she quickly discovers how foolish she was. The show can be viewed here.

Easy (2016-19)

Netflix’s ‘Easy,’ created by Joe Swanberg, is a heartwarming anthology series about love, sex, relationships, insecurities, and mutual understanding. The stories in the show revolve around urban couples living in Chicago. Although most of these stories are unrelated, the showrunners may occasionally take their audiences to the houses of former favorites to see how they are doing. The sitcom gained tremendous critical acclaim after its debut and ran for three seasons. Several Hollywood actors, like Malin kerman, Jane Adams, Andrew Bachelor, and Orlando Bloom, have joined the ensemble cast over the course of the film’s run. You may watch the show online here.

Sex Education (2019-)

When portrayed on TV, sex can be cringy at times, but ‘Sex Education’ manages to make it enjoyable and educational. It follows the life of Otis, a socially awkward adolescent who opens a sex therapy clinic in an abandoned washroom at his school to help people in need. Everything from blowjob tutorials on bananas to public pool boners to a controversial romance between a cougar and her plumber is included on the episode. But it’s the scene between a black gay character named Eric and the high school principal’s son Adam that takes everyone by surprise. This one isn’t particularly explicit, but if you’ve been watching the show, you’ll know that it was the least expected. Watch it right here.

Elite (2018-)

‘Elite’ is a coming-of-age drama about a group of kids in a high school. When it comes to sex, this TV show starts early, with two pairings in the first episode, where one couple tries the school shower and another invites a third person to join them for a threesome. The show is largely about crime and drama, with the crime being tied to the school’s battle between the rich and poor, and the drama being about straight and homosexual romances, STDs, teen pregnancies, and students being excessively horny. This show is similar to ‘Sex Education,’ but has a slightly more dreary undertone and is less entertaining. However, the show rises above its sex scenes thanks to a strong plot that can even be informative at moments.

Jessica Jones (2015-19)

Marvel has always quietly teased us with numerous heroic partnerships, such as Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, Jane Foster and Asgardian Thor, and The Hulk and Black Widow, but all of them were awkward and incomplete in some manner. Undeniably, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage’s relationship is Marvel’s first love connection, and after you watch their ground-breaking action that quickly morphs into something deeper, you will agree that Marvel has never gone relationships this far before.

Both characters are tough and tough as hell on the surface, but soft and mushy on the inside, which brings their connection to a whole new level after they start sleeping with each other. Jessica Jones is first shown as a dark, caustic, and self-centered woman, but as she begins to open up to Luke Cage, you get to see a side of her that is diametrically opposed to what she carries around with her. Watch it right here.

Sense8 (2015-18)

During the aftermath of traumatic visions, eight strangers are linked to each other. They can now sense each other’s presence all around them, despite the fact that they are all in quite different regions of the planet. The eight strangers attempt to solve the secret underlying this unique connection through their acts as a result of these links. Meanwhile, an organization is attempting to track them down with the goal of killing each and every one of them. This fast-paced thriller features a lot of sex scenes, but the one that stands out the most is the last scene, which is an orgy and brings the show to a close. But this is no ordinary orgy, and in order to understand it, you must see the full two seasons. The orgy concludes the series in a dramatic way that may require its own explanation. Watch it right here.

She’s Gotta Have It (2017-2019)

‘She’s Gotta Have It,’ created by famed director Spike Lee, is a series based on his film of the same name. The plot revolves around Nola Darling, a young African-American girl. She is a professional artist who resides in Brooklyn. Nola is a fiercely independent woman who values her own wants and wishes above anything else. We watch her as she juggles her work, love life, and friendships.

Nola, who is opposed to becoming tied to any one person or place, dates three separate men at the same time, and her adventures while managing these relationships constitute a big part of the series’ storyline. Lee not only created the show, but he also directed all of the episodes. ‘She’s Gotta Have It,’ along with ‘Atlanta’ and ‘Dear White People,’ is one of the most socio-culturally significant series concerning African-Americans. The characters are well-written, and the performances have matched Lee’s vision. Sex scenes abound in this series, with both heterosexual and homosexual sex encounters shown in graphic detail.

House Of Cards (2013-2018)

‘House of Cards’ might not have as many sex scenes as the other films on this list, but the ones it does have are very effective and serve as important plot turning points. Frank Underwood is the series’ principal character, who begins as the Majority Whip for the ruling Democratic Party and rises to the most powerful position on Earth through his cerebral aptitude, strong will, charisma, and deception. Along for the ride is his equally ambitious wife Claire, who grows in importance as the story progresses. Because power is the name of the game in our world, sex is a powerful instrument. In this otherwise two-faced population, it represents trust, intimacy, and honesty.

Frank uses sex to gain the trust of a journalist, only to use her to smooth his path to the top. Details concerning his personal sexuality are always kept under wraps and are only hinted at in the series’ later installments. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright play generous roles, and this series is easily one of the best-cast Netflix originals shows of all time.

Duck Butter (2018)

This 2018 film begins with an intriguing premise. The plot centres around two ladies, Naima and Sergio, who meet after both of them have been misled in previous romantic relationships. They resolve to spice up their lives after being devastated and unwilling to go through the same ordeal again. They intend to spend 24 hours together, and they intend to have sex every hour of that time. The plan begins nicely, but the couple quickly finds that things are not going to go as smoothly as they appear at first. The film is daring in its portrayal of lesbian sex and the female body, and it might be considered an important addition to the canon of LGBT films published in 2018. The performances are also excellent, although the picture could have been much stronger if the characters had been fleshed out further.

Gypsy (2017)

The entire theme of ‘Gypsy’ revolves around a Therapist’s (Naomi Watts) promiscuous relationships with her patients as she lives a life with no boundaries between her job and her personal desires. So, for obvious reasons, there are a lot of forbidden and intimate situations in this one. The program did not live up to expectations, but it did garner a lot of attention for its sex scenes, one of which is completely out of control. Jean and Sidney’s chemistry is beyond a “Oh my!” the first time they meet. However, all of these unethical sexual activities have far-reaching ramifications for the Therapist. This isn’t Oscar candidate Naomi Watts’ best work, but it’s worth seeing if you want to see a 40-something lady get in jail for doing something illegal. Watch it right here.

Orange Is the New Black (2013-17)

‘Orange is the New Black’ is a drama about a lady named Piper who is imprisoned in a women’s prison and runs into her former lesbian lover Alex. The show contains a lot of nudity and intimate situations, but one that truly sticks out is when Alex and Piper have angry sex all over the prison library. In an interview, the actresses who played Alex and Piper admitted that the sequence became so intense that one of them ended up with a cut on her face while filming it. If it doesn’t convey how hot this one is, we don’t know what would. A real-life prison would not be quite as nice as this one, and having sex in the library would almost certainly put you in serious trouble, but isn’t that what we like? We enjoy viewing things that we can’t do in real life. Watch it right here.

Black Mirror (2016)

‘Black Mirror’ is an anthology with a wide range of stories in each episode. Some episodes have been deemed to be surprisingly good and engaging, while others have been forgotten due to a lack of effective execution. There is only one episode that isn’t too distressing and has a happy ending. This one is about how two women’s lives alter after they meet in the party town of San Junipero. The purity of the scenario in which two women make love to each other is beautiful, and their chemistry is otherworldly. Anyone would fall in love with this episode. Watch it right here.
