The anime is about a girl named Nanami who gains the rank of a Kami (Shinto Goddess). Nanami must now reconcile her duties as a human and a goddess in the magical world. She is joined by Tomoe, a fox spirit who protects her and stays with her at all times in his human form. This is the beginning of their interspecies love affair, but it will not be easy. She survives, but her soul departs from her body. She insists that Yato aid her in returning to her human body, but in order to do so, Yato needs locate a new assistant. Yato and Hiyori embark on an adventure to find a new assistant for this ‘Stray God’ so that they can both have some good in their life once more.

9. Inu X Boku SS (2012)

Ririchiyo Shirakiin, a spoilt rich and extraordinarily petite 15-year-old girl, despises the fact that she is so reliant on her safe royal surroundings. She chooses to rectify that and leaves her opulent world behind to live in a house she obtains from her childhood pals. This property is known as the Maison de Ayakashi, and the socially awkward Ririchiyo quickly realizes that it is home to some rather weird creatures. Every creature that lives in that house is just half human. Does she have what it takes to thrive outside of her comfort zone, with a new school, a new town, and a slew of bizarre creatures?
