One of the popular and successful filmmakers of the industry Karan Johar has joined hands with the famous Punjabi artist Gippy Grewal for the upcoming Punjabi film titled 'Akaal.' This collaboration will mark the debut of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in the Punjabi industry.

Karan Johar took his Instagram to reveal this news to his fans, he posted, 'It gives me so much pride to have Dharma Productions associating with the legendary and accomplished Gippy Grewal to mark our first project in the Punjabi industry together. Akaal not only represents the culture and history of Punjab, but I am looking forward to it that it will resonate deeply with the wholeness of India and beyond.'

Talking about the film, It will be written and directed by Gippy Grewal and is scheduled to release in theatres on 10th April in Hindi as well as Punjabi language respectively.
